PSYCHOSIS
We are living in a beautiful world that we seem intent on destroying. The more we try and make sense of it, the more anxiety we feel. The mind of human beings seems impossible to fathom and questioning it makes us uncomfortable. We fret over made-up things. Fake news generates conflict and a loss of trust. We dread facing our problems and even fear the solutions. We are under constant pressure to achieve and get confused about what we are living for.
We can enter a mood state where we show signs and symptoms of psychosis:
- Where we hear, see and feel things that do not exist, except in our mind.
- We believe things that are false, producing unfounded fears, worries or suspicions, making it difficult to be curious, confident or secure
- We jump unthinkingly between unrelated topics in our speech and thought, making connections that produce ungrounded and illogical assessments, which make no sense to others.
- We withdraw from conflict and disengage with the world, or become unpredictable in our actions, with anxiety causing us to appear restless and hyperactive.
When the normal flow of our life feels as if it is breaking down, it’s because our expectations are not being met. We are unable to accept the face facts which closes the mind down from even considering alternatives. Resignation and hopelessness can set in if we cannot accept the facts and get clarity of our situation.
