Where you find your inspiration, creativity, resilience and determination, to see things differently. It lives in your subconscious as stories until realised in your actions.
Where you direct your unique identity, desires, passions, observations, values and intentions, to support your integrity, authenticity and life purpose.
In the example of a driving incident summarised below, the experience triggers an automatic response that “produces” a movie of the event in your mind. It generates a “script” that is habitual in its interpretation. But on reflection, you may decide that this “movie” does not work for you, so you “direct” your consciousness into a different interpretation. This leads to a new movie in which you “act” differently. This turns the next similar event into a different movie experience.
“Those who do not have power over the story that dominates their lives, the power to retell it and change it as times change, truly are powerless because they cannot think new thoughts” – Salman Rushdie
