Explore Possibilities

Envisioning a new future reality

Possibility Space is the place where all our ideas live before we bring them to mind.  It’s real in the same way as your life is real: in that it emerges through language.

When we talk about thinking “outside the box” we are entering the unknown, a world previously hidden from us. We set out to explore new landscape that gives us space to find new possibilities, where we can use our imagination and stories to get perspectives for new actions that bring forth a new reality.

It can be stimulated by a surprise event that stimulates a new thought or chain of events in you mind.  Conversations can bring offers, requests and promises that expand that “Possibility Space” and take your life in a new  direction.

“Every human act takes place in language.”  Humberto Maturana & Francisco Varela

Conversations are how we use language to design new Possibility Spaces. The mind helps us make sense of our experiences and generate new thoughts before we even become conscious of them.

Linking past and future to explore possibilities

The future is unknown to us, yet it takes up a large part of our thinking time as we are always looking for ways to predict and control what will happen to us. Because these assessments can only happen in the moment, we create stories to weave our assertions from the past with our declarations for a desired future.

Living in a state of becoming we tend to either hold onto or change our story depending on what makes sense to us and makes us feel OK about ourselves.

Consider the possibility that we live in the feeling of our thinking, not the feelings generated by our circumstances. When we are aware of a feeling entering our body, reflect on the thoughts that could have generated it.

What would happen if we thought about it differently? Say, you saw threats or fears as a stimulant for action or criticism as an opportunity for reflection and learning?

If we were to see our mind as a place that holds infinite possibilities, a place where our imagination and creativity could flow freely to find positivity, peace, clarity and well-being, in what way would we wonder more and worry less?

Imagine,  if you had 5% less fear of the unknown you would be able to  . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

We generate more possible answers when we adopted a more open and grateful mind when we just keeping asking “What Else?” . See what new possibilities come to mind.
