COMPLEXITY

To make practical use of complexity it must be viewed from the perspective of the individual agent acting and interacting within a system. As individuals, we face a set of constraints imposed upon us (top-down energy) are embedded in a particular context (outside-in energy), carrying within us a set of mental models (inside-out energy) and have to interact with others to get things done (bottom-up energy). Unless we can make sense of the combined effects of these forces, we will not be able to make sense of what is a constantly changing reality and identity.
