WAY OF BEING
Having presence involves three aspects or parts of human ontology that can be observed and interpreted. It involves our body sensations and movement, our moods and emotional states and our use of words and tonality in language. Each of us experiences and interprets the world around us and our response to it through these three elements – physical sensations, emotional states, and language.
All three work together and influence each other. Body posture affects mood state and resulting language. Negative language impacts on mood state and the body’s physiology and movement. Moods and emotions are revealed in the language we use and tension in muscles of the body. They impact on the quality of the conversations we have and our level of commitment to deliver on our promises.
