Tao

The Tao concept resonates deeply in East Asian philosophy and religions. The Tao is often translated as the “way” and is considered the primary cosmic principle, that of flow in the universe, the natural order that permeates and governs all things and keeps the universe in balance. It is often associated with chi, (breath or energy) of which all things are made and which makes humans, animals and plants of equal importance.

The purpose is to harmonise ourselves with nature and following its way to achieve effortless action through way. Importantly this view has not been confined to individual spiritual practices but has long been instrumental in Asian political philosophy to reflect good governance.
