ASSESSMENTS
An assessment is a statement that is a point of view that considers the worth or value of someone or something. It sets a context, orientation, or attitude, that can motivate you to act on something you care about. It tends to reflect opinions or assumptions that represent your truth but often lack verifiable evidence.
Assessments tell us more about the person and the way they think. Assessments often reflect particular moods and emotions that are expressed to release strong feelings – positive or negative. They can also be used to influence opinion or decision making. Phrases such as “it’s a fact that” or “the truth is” are just opinions or sweeping generalisations that are designed to distort facts or delete details to serve an argument
An assessment is a statement of the valuation opinion or judgement it’s not true or false, as it can be grounded by supporting or ungrounded if it’s just an opinion. There has to be a speaker and listener, which can happen in an internal conversation. The way you listen to an assessment will determine the action you take and what impact it will have on the desired outcome.
