SELF-DECEPTION

We are all unaware of the way self-deception determines how we see and experience the world. Indeed, we are not even aware that we have a problem. For example, we can blame something or someone else for our own thinking and action. We often cannot see or accept that we have a problem. We are blind to the underlying cause of our problems and lack the motivation to even think about it.  We want a quick fix and then cannot see that we are the reason that the problem keeps coming back.

As Life Leaders, we want to grow as a human being and make our own and others people’s lives better. We want to learn how to become more aware, observant and reflect on what we actually do, not what we think we do. It’s part of holding ourselves accountable for our own choices and actions. See “transparency”. We can only change ourselves. Not to do so is almost self-betrayal. We owe it to ourselves to know ourselves better and be the best we can be.
